System Engineer is Linea Research’s intuitive control and monitoring PC application designed for setting up, controlling, and monitoring professional audio systems. Se8 provides a workflow-based approach with three main views: Setup for device configuration, Presets for managing loudspeaker settings, and Tune for detailed audio adjustment. Se8 features continuous discovery that automatically adds new devices to the network. Se8 is packed with useful features and is regularly updated to improve user experience.
Which Linea Research amplifier and controller models are supported by System Engineer 8?
System Engineer 8 supports the M&C Series amplifiers (44M, 48M, 44C, and 88C Series) and the ASC48 advanced system controller. Linea Research XiB4 and OEM XPodHP solutions continue to be supported by System Engineer 7.
How are software and firmware updates handled in System Engineer?
Firmware is included in the System Engineer 8 download package and also available from the downloads page. The software automatically discovers devices on the network and gives the user the option to update firmware. New firmware is fully compatible with legacy software System Engineer 7.
