Linea Research announces the launch of PodWare Version 5, a major update of the very successful and widely used PC Windows application. As well as several important feature enhancements including 100% Vista compatibility and faster operation of very large networks, PodWare is able to set-up, control and monitor several brands of professional audio product simultaneously. No less than 40 different product groups from 17 prominent professional audio brands can now be controlled by PodWare

• Will discover and control any of our partners brands of product.
• OEM icons on Panels.
• Large network operation cleaner and faster.
• 100% Vista compatibility.

The emphasis on this new release has been speed and efficiency, especially in large networks with many devices. The other important change in this release is that PodWare will now find any of our partner OEMs products on a network so a user who has more than one brand doesn’t have to go to extraordinary lengths to change the PodWare session from one brand to another. PodWare is thus now a true audio system controller, able to set-up, monitor and control products from 17 different brands.

Our loyal OEM partners still have all the OEM features they ever did – customised splash screen and background, customised panels colours, and additionally, the added feature of their own logo on control panels. Security of the OEMs settings is just as tight as it ever was. The only difference is that a device from another brand that happens to be on the same network will also be discovered and added to the network Tree in PodWare, from where the device can then be controlled by a panel in appropriate livery for the brand of the discovered device.
