PODWARE VERSION UPDATE
Linea Research announces the launch of PodWare Version 5.4, a major update of the very successful PC Windows application which is in daily use by thousands of engineers around the world.
After a long period of Beta testing, we can now officially launch the long-awaited Grouping feature. With just four clicks of the mouse, the user can select a number of devices and launch a Group panel common to all of them so that parameters can be adjusted in them simultaneously, whilst still allowing some of the parameters to remain different. Up to sixteen such Groups can be created and named. And, since group membership details are held in the individual devices, you still don’t need a design file for your system!

During the evolution of the Grouping feature, we specified and prototyped several different styles before we settled on the chosen one. Many were rejected typically because they were too cumbersome or time consuming to set up or were simply unfathomable! Finally, it all clicked into place. We are very proud of the result, and encouraging feedback from grateful beta testers has vindicated our approach.
The enhanced Tree view now provides different sort options, shows more clearly when a device is missing, shows you which devices have panels launched, which device is in focus, and how many devices there are on the network.
PodWare has now “Come of age”. It is a comprehensive audio system control application that, despite its capabilities, features and ‘under-the-hood’ complexity, still retains the elegance and ease of use that made it popular when first launched. What’s more, the full version of PodWare is still free to download.
