Digital signal processing is key to the integration of amplifier and control systems. Linea Research has produced a truly state of the art platform that combines all the facilities found on full featured rack-mounting crossovers with extreme miniaturisation.

All products offer a 96kHz sample rate and take full advantage of the most modern 24bit converters. To maintain signal integrity at each step, extensive work has also been undertaken to produce new DSP algorithms, most notably for transparent audio limiting and crossover filtering. Linea is the first to offer Hardman crossover filters in addition to the standard configurations. Hardman crossovers greatly reduce out of band energy while maintaining zero degrees phase difference between adjacent bands, resulting in significant improvements to the spatial imaging of the speaker system.

In addition to audio processing, Linea's DSP units are also responsible for managing the power modules' protection systems. As parameters such as temperature, input drive and output current are known to the DSP, advanced techniques are used to ensure that the maximum possible performance can always be maintained, without compromising reliability, even in the face of abuse and harsh environmental conditions.
